Will a Mk6 position control unit fit in place of the Mk4 unit?
Yes, the Mk6 position control unit is a direct replacement for the Mk4 however you will require new pipework.
Can I convert a Mk4 power cylinder in to a Mk6 unit?
Yes we can supply a full conversion kit. This would convert the Mk4 unit with the ‘D’ Shaped shaft into the newer style Mk6 unit with the round shaft.
Is it possible to fit smart digital positon control units to the Kent Cylinder?
Yes we produce a mounting kit to suit most positioners using VDI/VDE 3845 mounting.
How easy is it to change the mode of operation from direct acting to reverse acting?
Very Easy, for the Mk6 unit, rotate the changeover plate on the positioner through 90 degrees and turn the cam end to end. For the Mk4 Unit, pipe the position control unit to the opposite ends of the cylinder and turn the cam end to end.
Can the Kent Cylinder be mounted in any orientation?
The simple answer is yes, they will work in any position.
What warranty will I receive with a Kent Cylinder or positioner?
All Kent Cylinders and positioners come with a 12 month warranty (further details available on request).
